BALL AND RING APPARATUS |
Code:GP - 322.1 |
Comprising a brass ball 25mm dia, a brass ring mounted on a rod with a wooden handle. A chain is provided to hold the ball with the ring. The ball passes through the ring when cold but will not pass through after being heated.

BALL AND RING APPARATUS |
Code:GP - 322.2 |
For demonstrating thermal expansion. Comprising a brass ball and a brass ring, each on its own rod with wooden handle. Whilst the ball will pass through the ring when cold, it will not do so when heated. However, if both ball and ring are heated to the same extent, the ball will pass, thus demonstrating the “expansion of a hole” effect.

EXPANSION APPARATUS |
Code: GP - 325.3 |
Comprising two iron casted stand of 180mm height joined by two chrome plated rods, with an expansion rod, length 380mm, fixed on one stand and resting on a Friction Pointer placed at the other. With graduated scale 0-90° with 3 expansion bars of Iron, Aluminium and Brass.

EXPANSION APPARATUS GUNTHER |
Code: GP - 362.2 |
With two cast end pieces jointed by three nickel plated rods which carry two sliding V supports for a glass jacket with inlet and outlet tubes. One end piece fitted with spherometer reading to 0.005mm, and the other with contact screw. The Glass jacket enclosed both a brass and a copper rod each 500 x 6mm, length x diameter, fitted through corks, a half turn of the jacket changing the rod in contact with the spherometer. A thermometer can be attached to either of the rods by rubber bands. Brass terminals are fitted to the apparatus so that an electrical circuit can be made through either rod to indicate the moment of contact of centre tube and spherometer.
Overall Dimensions : 600 x 125 x 150mm.

HYPSOMETER COPPER |
Code: GP - 333.1 |
For determining the upper fixed point of thermometers and boiling points at Barometer pressure other than atmospheric. Comprising an upper boiling vessel with a steam jacketed inner tube. A lid with a tubule is provided which holds the thermometer under test in a bung. A side outlet draining tube and a glass manometric tube mounted in tubular with rubber bung.
Overall size :300 x 100mm.

-
|
COMPOUND STRIPS |
Code: GP - 336.1 |
For demonstrating the differential expansion of two different metals. One each brass and iron plates 350 x 35mm length x breadth riveted together from end to end with wooden handle.
